The Academy of Woodlands Arts Centre offers hall hire for any occasion, including weddings, anniversaries, parties, fitness/dance classes and much more. Their facilities include a theatre, sports hall, dining hall, dance studios, conference rooms and a music rehearsal space. Their prices are very competitive and we have free parking available onsite. Located in the heart of Gillingham, Medway, the Art Centre can be easily accessed by car or public transport.
They also have a community coffee shop, called Treetops, which opened on 3rd November 2014. It is open to the public and serves a selection of teas, freshly ground coffee, freshly prepared sandwiches, salads and cakes. Treetops is able to provide catering for any occasion.
The Oak Theatre is a hugely versatile space, allowing us to accommodate parties, weddings, conferences, live music, piano recitals, theatre performances and much more!
We have round tables and long tables available and chairs for up to 180 people. We have demountable staging and a seating bank which can be set up to your requirements. The theatre can be set up in several layouts, with your audience either seated on our raked seating bank, on rows of chairs flat on the floor, or at tables in a club style.
We have two conference rooms available for hire - The Hawthorne and The Birch - which are ideal for meetings & conferences but can also be used for small music, singing or drama groups. Features of both rooms include:
The Dining Hall is a large space ideal for children’s birthday parties, church services, fitness classes and much more! This space has tables, chairs and benches which can be arranged however you like, as well as a great sounds system, water cooler and air conditioning.
