Dreamland is the oldest surviving amusement park in the UK, catering for everything from exhibition space and conferences through to weddings and film locations. We combine modern day facilities with the vintage charm of yesteryear. Our venue team includes a dedicated Event Manager for each event, in-house technical team and first aid cover.
When it comes to catering for your event at Dreamland, there are many options available. Visit the eclectic bars and street food for wood-fired pizzas or seaside favourite fish and chips or skate over to the vintage roller diner for American-inspired classics. We also have the Cinque Ports seafront pub and restaurant.
Hall By The Sea:
Our large indoor event space is perfect for concerts, conferences, awards ceremonies, balls, club nights, product launches, fashion shows, trade shows and exhibitions. The maximum capacity is 1000 standing and it is available all year.
Ballroom:
Step back in time and discover our beautifully restored, Grade 2 listed Ballroom. With its sprung wooden dance floor, this room is ideal for conferences, trade shows, weddings (licensed for ceremonies) and parties. The maximum capacity is 375 standing and it is available all year.
The Side bar:
An exclusive bar, perfect for both intimate dining or stylish parties. The maximum capacity is 80 standing and it is available all year.
Boardroom:
Ideal for meetings and conferences, get out of the office and brainstorm in a bright, fresh, airy room. The maximum capacity is 50 and it is available all year.
Roller Room:
A retro space for events with a difference. The Roller Room is perfect for parties, balls, product launches, fashion shows, trade shows and club nights.
The maximum capacity is 800 and it is available all year.
VIP Party Huts:
Relax and enjoy a perfect view of the Scenic Stage from one of our four VIP Beach Huts at the heart of Dreamland. If you’re booking a birthday celebration, a hen or stag party, or just a memorable day out with friends, our VIP Beach Huts can be hired for that extra special party. The Huts have their own BBQ area and garden too.
The minimum capacity is 10 and the maximum capacity is 25 or 125 for the whole area. This is available seasonally between April and October.

Filled to the brim with fabulous new and vintage rides, the Amusement Park is perfect for concerts, corporate events and away days, private parties and weddings. The minimum capacity for park takeover is 300 and the maximum capacity is 6000. This is available for hire on weekdays during term time.

Our giant event space is perfect for large outdoor events. It is a completely blank space with a maximum capacity of 14,000, making it perfect for festivals, concerts and more!

I can't find the prices on the website. Where are they?
The park is free to enter. Ride wristbands are available to purchase here - you save 25% when you book online in advance. You can also purchase Pay As You Go cards to pay for individual rides. To find out individual Pay As You Go ride prices, click here.
Can I pay for rides in cash?
No, you are not able to pay for rides in cash. We only accept ride wristbands and Pay As You Go cards as payment for the rides. Both can be purchased from the ticket desks in the undercover area on the day of your visit. Secondary sales points may be opened on park at peak times. Ride wristbands are available to purchase here - save 25% when you book online in advance.

Do you offer unlimited ride wristbands for the whole day?
Yes, we are pleased to offer ride wristbands which enable you to ride unlimited depending on your height! You can choose from: Under 1.25m, Over 1.25m, AAA (Octopus’s Garden, Roller Disco, Amusement Park) and the 2-day wristband.
Can I use my ride wristband everywhere within Dreamland?
Depending on your height, your wristband will get you unlimited ride access as well as access to some of the amusement park attractions. You will need to purchase separate entry into the Roller Disco, the Octopus's Garden and any ticketed events that may be taking place. Ride wristbands are available to purchase here - save 25% when you book online in advance.
Can I use my ride wristband to buy food and drinks?
Ride wristbands can only be used for rides and some attractions. All food and drinks outlets accept cash, card or your Pay As You Go card only. This is the same for the Dreamland Shop.
How long are Dreamland Pay As You Go cards valid for?
Pay As You Go cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
I booked in advance and can't attend anymore. Can I get a refund?
We do not offer refunds or exchanges on ride wristbands or event tickets. If the park is closed on the day you had booked to visit, or an event is cancelled, our Guest Services team will be in touch with you. If you have booked your tickets through a ticket agent (e.g. AXS, See Tickets, Dice, Resident Advisor), please refer to your ticket or email confirmation for further information on their cancellation policy and contact details.
Can I enter the park without an adult?
You must be over 14 to be able to enter our park alone. Children under the age of 14 are to be accompanied by an adult aged 16+.
Is there parking at Dreamland?
Yes. Our car park is situated round the corner from Dreamland on All Saints Avenue, CT9 5QH. The car park charges £7 for the day.
Are lockers available?
Yes. Lockers are available and are £3 per hire. Tokens are available from our Ticket Desks.
Are wheelchairs available?
No, but guests are welcome to bring their own.
Is there storage for buggies?
No, there is no storage for buggies on site.
Can carers come in/ride for free?
Yes, carers are free. If you require a carer, you will need to provide one of the following forms of documentation:
- A certified NHS letter from your doctor or consultant clearly stating why you are eligible for a carer ticket
- A letter from a professional body (eg Nurse, Bupa Healthcare Advisor etc) clearly stating why you are eligible for a carer ticket
- A DLA, DWP or PIP letter stating you are entitled to a carer ticket
- A valid Max Card
- Blue Badges are not accepted
RIDES
What rides are in action today and what are the height restrictions?

Is the Scenic Railway still listed even though it has been rebuilt?
Yes! It was not the wood that was listed it was the structure, design and location of the railway. It has been lovingly re-built under the watchful eye of English Heritage.
What happened to the The Whip and The Corbiere Wheel?
The Whip and the Corbiere Wheel are being stored by our partners at The Dreamland Trust for future development.
It's raining today, will all the rides be working?
During wet weather conditions it maybe necessary to temporarily close our Born Slippy slide and in cases of high winds the Big Wheel. If this happens, we will do everything within our power to open these rides as soon possible.
Can pregnant/disabled visitors go on the rides at Dreamland?

ROLLER ROOM
How old must I be to skate in the Roller Room?
Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
What is the smallest shoe size you offer in the Roller Room?
We offer shoes all the way down to a kids size 8.
Does the Roller Room close for events?
The Roller Room may be closed for some events. Please check the Roller Room opening times here before you travel.
OUTDOOR TICKETED EVENTS

If it rains, will the event still take place?
The concert will go ahead rain or shine, unless decided by the management and artist that it is unsafe to continue. Please ensure you bring adequate clothing for the weather conditions on the day.
What if I buy a ticket and can no longer attend?
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. The ticket purchaser is required to bring ID alongside their ticket to gain entry to the event. Letters of authorisation will be accepted in place of the original ticket purchaser’s ID. Dreamland reserves the right to refuse admission if these terms are not adhered to. If you have booked your tickets through one of our authorised ticket agents (e.g. AXS, See Tickets, Dice, Resident Advisor), please refer to your ticket or email confirmation for further information on terms and conditions, and their contact details.
What if I've booked tickets and the event is cancelled?
If an event is cancelled, our Guest Services team will be in touch with you. If you have booked your tickets through one of our authorised ticket agents (e.g. AXS, See Tickets, Dice, Resident Advisor), please refer to your ticket or email confirmation for further information on their cancellation policy and contact details.
Is there a disabled access area?
The concert arena is fully accessible for wheelchair users and there will be an accessible platform available within the concert arena for wheelchair users only. Tickets for the accessible platform will need to be booked in advance via the Dreamland website. Tickets provide entry to the unreserved concert arena. Dreamland offers a complimentary personal assistant ticket alongside all disabled ticket bookings. Proof of eligibility will need to be provided alongside your ticket on entry to the event. If you have any specific access needs, please contact us prior to the event on customer.services@dreamland.co.uk
Will there be haze and/or strobe lights?
Many of our events are managed by external promoters and so we often do not have full details of exactly what the production will involve until very close to the day of the show. Most of our events will contain flashing lights and use of haze as standard. We make every effort to advertise on doors of the event if this is the case.
Do I need ID?
Most of our events have age restrictions, in which case you will need to provide proof of age on entry. Please refer to the individual event page for the age restrictions of that specific event. When purchasing alcohol, if you appear to be under the age of 25, you may be asked for proof of age. We reserve the right to refuse to serve you alcohol if you do not have valid photographic ID.
Acceptable forms of ID to prove you are over 18 include:
• A photo driving licence
• A passport
• A proof of age card, such as the PASS card from the national Proof of Age Standards Scheme.
Is there a cloakroom?
For outdoor ticketed events, we do not operate a cloakroom. The lockers in the undercover area may be available on the day for a small charge. If you would like to enquire about the availability of the lockers for a specific event, please contact us prior to the event at customer.services@dreamland.co.uk.
Are there any items I can't bring?
Portable seating is not permitted in the concert arena. Food and drink must not be brought into the park; there are a number of outlets available to purchase food and drink from. There are baby changing areas available in the toilets/welfare areas on the park.

MEMBERSHIP
How do I become a Dreamland member?
You can purchase a Dreamland Membership online here, or from the Membership Office located in the undercover area.
I have a Dreamland Membership, do I still have to pay for the rides?
Because you are one of our exclusive members, all of the rides, attractions and the Roller Disco are included in your Dreamland Membership (with the exception of The Octopus’s Garden).
Does my membership guarantee entry every day?
Yes, you will have access every day the park is open. On rare occasions you may be asked to wait before accessing the amusement park if we are at full capacity. On a small number of occasions, the park will operate for special ticketed events, and you will require an additional ticket(s) for those occasions. For selected Dreamland events, Dreamland Members will be given priority booking.
Do I get a discount on Dreamland ticketed events?
You will get a discount on participating events. We will make sure this is always stated clearly on our website. On many events you will also benefit from priority booking.

GROUPS AND BOOKINGS
I need to book a large group. How much is it?
Groups of 10 people or more qualify for a 25% discount when booked together. Please email groups@dreamland.co.uk to book.
Are AAA wristbands included in a group booking?
No, AAA wristbands give you unlimited access to the rides, the Roller Disco & The Octopus's Garden. These wristbands are already discounted, so cannot be purchased with the group booking discount.
Are 2 day wristbands included in a group booking?
No, 2 day wristbands cannot be purchased with the group booking discount.
How do I book and pay?
Please email groups@dreamland.co.uk or call 01843 267026 to be sent a group booking form. Once you have returned the completed form to us, a member of the team will contact you for payment.
I am travelling by car/coach. Where can I park?
Around the corner from Dreamland is Arlington Car Park, located on All Saints Avenue, Margate, CT9 5QH. The parking is £7 for one day. Arlington Car Park cannot accomodate coaches due to height and weight restrictions. For coach parking, please use Dreamland Car Park (Thanet District Council). This is located on Belgrave Road, Margate, CT9 1XG. The cost for coaches is £12 for up to 4 hours, £24 for up to 24 hours.
GENERAL
Will it be like the Dreamland I remember?
We can't promise that every detail that you remember will be there but every nook and cranny of the new Dreamland will be touched by the hand of a designer. We do promise that there will be nowhere quite like Dreamland.

Does Dreamland close for the winter season?
The Roller Room, Tail Spin Diner and The Octopus's Garden are open throughout the year (subject to availability). The amusement park closes during the winter months for maintenance. For full opening dates and times, please click here.
Can we camp at Dreamland?
We're afraid we don't have a camping area at Dreamland. However, there are a number of hotels in the area and we are only a five minute walk from Margate train station.
Are dogs allowed on the park?
Only registered assistance dogs are permitted to enter the park.
Can I smoke at Dreamland?
Yes, there will be designated areas throughout the park. Smoking will not be allowed in any other areas.
Will you be serving alcohol?
Yes. There will be alcohol served in designated areas. If you are buying drinks, please ensure you do not leave these areas when drinking them. You will also need to show proof of age when buying alcohol.
